    The U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Hiring Our Heroes hiring fair, scheduled for April 23rd, 2013, at the Hagerty Conference Center located at the Northwestern Michigan College is committed to making this one-of–a-kind FREE hiring fair a win-win for employers and veteran/military spouse job seekers.

    The U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Hiring Our Heroes event is co-sponsored locally by the Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce, the Employer Support of the Guard & Reserve (ESGR), the U. S. Department of Labor Veterans Employment and Training Service (DOL VETS), U. S. Department of Veterans Affairs, and The American Legion.

    TAHRA will offer one on one counseling and assessment of the Veteran’s needs.  We are still seeking interested TAHRA volunteers to make the event a success.   If you can give even one hour of your time, we need your professional HR experience. We plan to have tables set up away from the main Job Fair area to talk with the Veterans about various topics depending on their individual needs. This individual attention is an important part of our participation.  This may also be the most rewarding experience you have had in your HR tenure.   Please give this opportunity to give back to some American Heroes.  Please contact Ron Smith for more information, rsmith@billmarsh.com.
