    On September 5, 2018, the Michigan Legislature adopted as law the proposed Paid Sick Leave Initiative and the Minimum Wage Increase Initiatives, which were originally proposed as ballot measures on the November 6, 2018 ballot. The Earned Sick Time Act (“ESTA”) will require all employers, including small businesses with 10 or less employees, to provide up to 72 hours of paid sick and “safe” time.
